Greek Baked Lemon-Garlic Chicken



*Greek Seasoning
Lemon Juice
Chopped Fresh Garlic
Olive Oil
Chicken Breast sliced in half.

Drizzle chicken with olive oil and squeeze fresh or bottled lemon juice over chicken - sprinkle with Greek Seasoning (add extra salt if desired). Top with fresh minced or chopped garlic. Let sit 30 minutes to an hour covered. Bake 15 minutes covered then 15 minutes more uncovered . Serve hot.


Serve with favorite veggies, salad and bread. White wine goes well with it.


*Greek Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons Greek oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Mix salt, garlic powder, basil, oregano, cinnamon, pepper, parsley, rosemary, dill, marjoram, thyme, and nutmeg in a bowl. Store in an airtight container.   Note: For a finer texture, blend spices in a spice grinder.  Source: Culinary Hill
