Roasted Apples (The Hobbit)
4 Apples, tart or sweet
1 cup/235ml White Wine
8 tables. Butter
1/4 cup/50g Sugar
4 tables. Cinnamon
2 tables. Ginger
1 tables. Nutmeg
1/2 tables Allspice
1/4 teas. Cloves
1'cup/220g Raisins or Currents, minced
1/2 cup/110g Almonds or Walnuts, minced (optional)
Wash off apples. Core with spoon so bottom is left intact.
Arrange apples in baking dish and pour wine over them. Let sit while making butter.
Mix rest of ingredients together.
Pour wine out if apples and stuff each with the butter mixture.
Bake uncovered in 375f / 190c oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
