Strong Cabbage

 


1 head of cabbage, shredded

1/4 cup stone-ground mustard

2 Table. honey

2 Table. hard cider (can substitute apple juice or your favorite vinegar)

1 Tea. caraway seed, optional

 Salt/Pepper to taste

 

Cook the shredded cabbage in water with salt until it's just tender. Drain the cabbage.

Mix together the honey, mustard, cider, caraway, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add the honey-mustard sauce to the drained cabbage and toss well. Serve warm or cold.
